How to Use Ultra-Fresh – Textiles

Using Ultra-Fresh with textiles.Over the years Ultra-Fresh has been developed by TRA scientists to meet a wide and growing range of applications in many manufacturing sectors. In addition to almost every fabric used in apparel and in the home, there are specific chemistries and application procedures for products such as carpet underlay, camping equipment, patio furniture, boat covers, and floor tiles. Wherever it is used Ultra-Fresh answers the need for personal freshness in garments, and extends the life of products by inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria, molds and fungi.

Ultra-Fresh is easy to apply during normal textile finishing processes. There are treatments available for coating, padding (foulard), exhaustion and foaming. Ultra-Fresh is usually applied in combination with other additives such as softeners and flame retardants. Ultra-Fresh is designed to work with other textile auxiliaries making it safe to co-apply with no need for extra finishing steps.

Ultra-Fresh can be applied at any point in the process of creating a finished garment. It can be applied to the yarn, the fabric or the finished garment. Certain Ultra-Fresh treatments can even be added during the extrusion process of synthetic textile fibres giving built-in lifetime protection.

Ultra-Fresh is formulated to have excellent durability even after multiple washes or dry cleanings. The exact durability depends on the product used, the use level and the application conditions. Your local distributor can work with you to achieve your desired results.

Ultra-Fresh is applicable to a wide range of substrates including cotton, viscose, polyester, nylon, acrylic, polyolefin, rayon, wool and their blends.
